global alliance
we’re here to help
We’re here to help global alliances – both accounting and law.
For the mid-tier alliances, you may be present in +/- 100 countries with hundreds of offices and tens of thousands of professional and support staff in all the major markets around the world.
More often than not however – you’re responsible for servicing such a vast membership group from an international office or regional office structure with a relatively small team.
Running a global alliance, is a really really challenging role. Unless you’ve been there, it’s difficult to describe the pressures.
What’s in a name
Before we start – we should perhaps clarify that we use the word “Alliance” to cover both worldwide networks and associations. The accountants amongst you will understand the difference!
(In the accounting world – “networks” are defined by IFAC, the International Federation of Accountants)
global alliance
how can we support you?
Your team can certainly cover the ongoing management of your network or association – but, as the leader, you’re ultimately responsible for all of the international office functions and others beside. Very often, it’s not possible to delegate these to your team: –
-
Developing the strategy for the global development of your alliance, gaining Board approval and buy-in from the membership to secure successful implementation
-
Building and supporting collaborative business development systems and activities across the alliance – prospective target proposals, facilitating trans-national referrals, supporting global and/or regional service line and industry sector special interest groups
-
Advising on litigation risk and how those risks can be managed
-
Drafting codes of conduct and engagement terms for projects involving multiple member firms, revising alliance by-laws and agreements
-
Recruiting new members firms in targeted locations
-
Exploring merger or joint venture opportunities
-
Recruiting international team members or cover for short-term vacancies
-
And for networks that may be looking for assistance with Quality Management globally – check out “Quality Management”.
We have the experience – we have faced these issues and can support you.
Additionally we offer…..
-
A sounding board/mentoring facility for the leadership team,
-
Individual and team coaching and performance programmes. which may also utilise the services of the company, Live Your Performance which is operated by Chris Rawden, a former GAAS director,
-
Brand reviews, audits & research, positioning, values & behaviours, visual identity and guidelines through our collaboration agreement with Frank, Bright & Abel.
-

With JHA (formerly Jeremy Hyman Associates)…..
We can work to help your alliance select, implement, and improve their membership management systems. JHA has extensive experience in this, whilst remaining entirely independent from vendors allowing them to focus solely on your needs with an impartial comparison of your available options.
In addition, JHA can partner with you to enhance the services your member firms offer to their clients, widening the range of IT consulting they can provide. This may include advice on security, staffing, cloud migrations, and the selection and adoption of major systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and document management . This approach can give your members a competitive edge, allowing them to equal the service catalogue of larger firms without having to commit to expensive resources beyond the work in hand.
In concert with us, they have provided their range of services to PrimeGlobal, Praxity Global Alliance, LEA Global, MGI Worldwide, MSI Global Alliance, Russell Bedford International and Alliot Global Alliance.
With The BD Consultancy
We can assist with building and supporting collaborative business development systems and activities across the alliance – business development training and coaching, prospective target proposal processes, facilitating trans-national referrals, supporting global and/or regional service line and industry sector special interest groups.
